Allah explained to Adam, our father, the developer, all the meanings, characteristics and distinguishing features and placed its knowledge in his heart. Then He exposed them and the dominating intellect in him to the angels. He said, “Inform me of these names, if you are truthful” and think that I didn’t create one more knowledgeable than you.
Adam could name all the things with their character traits because G- d taught him. With this knowledge he was able to produce, build and develop the land. As human beings we are born with a curiosity to examine and understand our surrounding and environment.
We are to use our intelligence to become productive citizens and develop our neighborhoods and communities. If we do this then we will be like Adam.
